The Los Angeles branch of Grupo Axé Capoeira is headed by Monitor Tizoc.

Tizoc Guerrero was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. It was there where he began his training under Professor Camara in 2001. Tizoc instantly fell in love with capoeira and felt it was a way to reattach himself to his Brazilian roots. Through capoeira Tizoc has had the pleasure of performing around the world, in places such as Canada, Mexico, Brazil and throughout the US. In 2006 Tizoc traveled to Santa Cruz, CA to take part in the US Open Capoeira Tournament. There he took 1st in his division and 1st in Adult Solos. In 2009 he received his Monitor belt from Mestre Barrão. He soon after moved to the Los Angeles area

Tizoc still travels to perform and train, he continuously is looking for ways to help capoeira grow in his community and in the world
